Fixtures Assembler

MAD is looking for a new Fixtures Assembler to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, sense of urgency and be a great team player.

 

Primary Function:

Responsible for the assembly of elevator fixtures including fixture components by referencing related CAD schematics.

 

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in light assembly work
  • At least 1 year of Manufacturing experience (custom production)
  • Demonstrated dexterity and ability to perform simple to complex assemblies in a fast-paced environment
  • Medium to highly detail-oriented.
  • Experience with electrical fixtures component manufacturing preferred.

 

  • Responsibilities, Skills, and Competencies
  • Correctly identify buttons and components and accurately interpret assembly drawings
  • Assemble products within specified period of time
  • Utilize manual hand and power tools effectively
  • Effectively inspect assemblies visually an with designated measuring devices
  • Production rework assembly
  • Check floor stock by monitoring wiring inventory
  • Identify non-conformances
  • Complete shop records accurately and on time
  • Communicates well with colleagues and team leader
  • Handle medium-to-heavy materials intermittently
  • Able to lift up to 15lbs, may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area

 

 

This is a day shift position working out of our Mississauga, Ontario location, at least 44 hours weekly.

Hours are typically Monday - Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm, Fridays 7:00am to 3:30pm
