Packaging Operator

MAD is looking for a full-time Packaging Operator to join our growing team.

Primary Function:

The incumbent will be responsible for packaging, weighing, labelling and loading materials. The Packaging Operator will also perform quality checks for defective items and ensure all materials make it to the loading area for inventory, while keeping a detailed record.

The ideal candidate will have a “can do attitude” and willingness to learn
 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Experience in manufacturing or related field is preferred.
  • Basic shop skills, such as using hand tools.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow instructions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail paired with the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lb

Responsibilities:

  • Pack, weigh, and label completed items for shipment or storage
  • Examine and inspect materials to ensure packaging specifications are met
  • Move completed materials to loading dock.
  • Identify and remove defective materials
  • Keep record of all product, packaging, and order information on specified forms.
  • Properly use hand tools
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Other duties as required
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety

This is an hourly Day Shift position working out of our Mississauga, Ontario location, at least 44 hours weekly.

Hours are typically Monday to Thursdays 7:00am to 4:30pm, Fridays 7:00am - 3:30pm
