Packaging Operator

MAD is looking for a Packaging Operator to join our growing team.

 

Primary Function:

Responsible for packaging, weighing, labelling and loading materials. The Packaging Operator will perform quality checks for defective items and ensure all materials make it to the loading area for inventory, while keeping a detailed record.

 

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Experience in manufacturing or related field is preferred.
  • Basic shop skills, such as using hand tools.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow instructions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail paired with the ability to multitask.
  • Medium to highly detail-oriented
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs (assisted if needed)

 

Responsibilities, Skills, and Competencies:

  1. Pack, weigh, and label completed items for shipment or storage.
  2. Examine and inspect materials to ensure packaging specifications are met.
  3. Move completed materials to loading dock.
  4. Identify and remove defective material.
  5. Keep record of all product, packaging, and order information on specified forms.
  6. Properly use hand tools.
  7. Maintain a clean work area.
  8. Able to lift up to 50lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 5%.
  9. Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.
  10. Other duties as required.

 

This is a day shift position working out of our Mississauga, Ontario location, at least 44 hours weekly.

 

Hours are typically Monday - Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm, Fridays 7:00am to 3:30pm
