Production Assembly Kitter (Afternoon Shift)

MAD is looking for a new Production Assembly Kitter to join our growing team.


Primary Function:

Responsible for ensuring that assemblers have the supplies (including but not limited to material, tools, instructions) they need on a consistent basis to stay focused on manufacturing elevator fixtures, including fixture components.


Qualifications and Educational Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in material handling
  • At least 2 years of Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Self-started/ self-directed working aptitude
  • Demonstrated dexterity and ability to understand simple to complex assemblies
  • A “do whatever it takes” attitude
  • Ability to lift loads up to 50lbs (assisted as needed)
  • Physical ability to move skids, boxes and other materials
  • Willingness to be trained to operate a forklift or crane
  • Medium to highly detail-oriented


Responsibilities, Skills, and Competencies:


  1. Anticipate and deliver Car Operating Panels (COPs) corresponding to orders to assemble areas as required
  2. Efficiently move completed kits from engraving area to assembly area as needed while minimizing rework
  3. Report any quality issues, damaged or defective materials
  4. Identify non-conformances
  5. Complete shop records accurately
  6. Recommend changes to the routing & kitting practices for efficiency purposes
  7. Work closely with team leaders, team members, Production Control and Continuous Improvement
  8. Handle medium-to-heavy materials intermittently
  9. Ability to work with minimal supervision
  10. Able to lift up to 50lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%
  11. Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area




This is a day shift position working out of our Mississauga, Ontario location, at least 44 hours weekly.

Hours are typically Monday - Thursday 4:00pm to 1:00am, Fridays 3:00pm to 11:00pm
